Name Timaru's new on-demand public transport service
Consultation has concluded
In Autumn next year, Timaru will begin a trial of on-demand public transport.
The service is being designed to improve public transport and make sure it works for more people. It’s an enormous opportunity for Timaru citizens, and it’s going to mean thinking a little differently about how you get around.
The service won’t start until at least April next year. While we work on the detail, we asking for your help with a name.
Name me and win
This competition is NOW CLOSED.
Our friends at the brand new Tekapo Luxury Apartments have provided a two-night stay for four people as a prize for the best name suggested.
If we pick your sharp and snappy name, the prize, worth $1000, is all yours.
Interested?
We’re looking for a name that sums up what on-demand public transport is all about - trying bold, new things to keep public transport going in Timaru.
