Our Waitarakao draft strategy community feedback survey
Our Waitarakao has been prepared by its partner agencies – the Department of Conservation, Environment Canterbury, Te Rūnanga o Arowhenua, and Timaru District Council – in collaboration with the community through surveys, workshops, meetings, and events.
The strategy’s vision is to restore the mauri of Waitarakao for everyone. It primarily addresses two key issues - the decline of the natural environment and impacts of natural hazards.
This strategy includes five overarching outcomes, and plans to achieve these through 18 specific objectives. Each objective has targets and an approach which includes both short-term (first steps) and long-term (ongoing) actions.
This survey will take 5-10 minutes to complete. Download a copy of the strategy to refer to as you complete it.
The community feedback survey is open until 5pm on Monday 15 July 2024.
