Your feedback will be considered by the Council in accordance with our submissions policy (Pdf file, 2.26kb) which sets out the process for receiving feedback.
There is also an opportunity for you to come in and talk to the councillors about your thoughts. Information about how to do this is at the end of this feedback form.
How your feedback is used and what is published
- What information is published: Submissions are public information. Your name and feedback will be published and made available to councillors and the public. Contact details, such as your email address and phone number will not be published. They will be provided to councillors so they can contact you about your submission if required, or some staff for administration purposes.
- Privacy and personal information: The Privacy Act 2020 also applies to all submissions. Any personal information you supply will only be used for the purpose of understanding your views and factoring them into decision making. You can read our Privacy Statement on our website. This outlines how we will hold and protect the personal information you provide and how you can request a copy.
- Confidential submissions: If there are good reasons why your name and/or feedback should be kept confidential, please contact us at haveyoursay@ecan.govt.nz and specify why that information should be withheld. Please note that you should not include any personal information in the open text fields of the submission if you do not wish it to be made public.
- Use of Artificial Intelligence (AI): We may use Artificial Intelligence (AI) tools to help summarise and identify themes in submissions. All summaries are reviewed by staff, and councillors will consider the full submissions. For more information about how we use AI, visit our website.
